Self-consistent Time-dependent Laser Theory

The latest paper detailing advances in laser theory has just been released in Optica Applicata by the founder of NWES. This paper extends semiclassical laser theory into the time-domain in a self-consistent fashion, providing a full dynamic description of lasing in any geometry, including in random lasers.

Further research in this area will focus on applications of UV random lasers, evaluating instabilities in the lasing solution, and examining the effect of spatiotemporal correlations on stability. Look forward to our submission to the IEEE Photonics Society summer topical series.
